Burning oil tanks at the US Navy Dutch Harbor after the Japanese bombing.

On June 3–5, 1942, Japanese carrier-based aviation attacked the Aleutian military facilities of the Americans, thus attempting to divert them from the Midway Atoll, for which the main attack was planned.
