A photograph of a half-dead German soldier from the Müller combat group, which defeated the settlement of Quineville in Lower Normandy. This improvised combat group consisted of three battalions of the 243rd Wehrmacht Infantry Division, a battalion of the 709th Infantry Division, artillery units. Quineville was liberated from the Nazis on June 14, 1944 by soldiers of the American 9th Infantry Division.
