Broken Czechoslovak monument in the town of Bohumin

Poland – an ally of Hitler and the initiator of the Second World War in Europe. Broken by the Poles during the operation “Zaluzha” Czechoslovak monument in the town of Bohumin on the background of the town hall.

City Bohumin was the last point of operation “Zaluzha” and there was a meeting of Polish and German Wehrmacht troops. In consequence of this city of 35 thousand Czechs were forced to emigrate to Czechoslovakia on their own or were extradited.
In the photo area, which is called the Masaryk Square in honor of the first president of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk (1850-1937).
