British assault boats deliver troops to the landing ship before landing in Normandy

British assault boats of the LCA type (landing craft, assault) deliver troops to the landing ship in preparation for the landing in Normandy. South coast of England, near the port of Weymouth.
Assault boats are attributed to the military sea transport “Prince Baudouin”. On board the boats are servicemen of the 5th Ranger Battalion of the 5th Corps of the 1st US Army, which will land in the Omaha sector, on the “Dog Green” section.
