Bombers Consolidated B-24 Liberator during the flight to the Romanian oil fields in Ploiesti during Operation Tidal Wave.
In the foreground is the B-24 Joisey Bounce from the 93rd Bomber Group of the 8th US Air Force. This aircraft will be irretrievably lost during a raid on the German city of Bremen on November 13, 1943.
