A color photo of the USAF during World War II: The American Boeing YB-17 “Flying Fortress” is a heavy four-engined bomber at Langley Field, Virginia, USA.

The 12 of the Boeing YB-17 “Flying Fortress” bombers were used by the 2nd Bomber Group, based at Langley Field airfield. With their help, various tests were conducted, and new techniques and methods of bombing were developed.
