Female workers are preparing to operate the Bell P-63 “Kingcobra” fighter aircraft at the American Great Falls air base, top view.
12 exhaust nozzles on each side an obvious sign of Bell P-63 Kingcobra (at P-39 “Aerocobra” – 6 nozzles each). On the fuselage, there are star-identifying signs of the Soviet Air Force – the aircraft is intended for shipment to the USSR by lend-lease. During the Great Patriotic War, 8,000 different types of aircraft were delivered to the USSR through the Lend-Lease through the Great Falls Base.
