Sturmgeschütz III – German self-propelled artillery gun class assault guns of World War II in the medium tank chassis PzKpfw III. Serially produced in various modifications from 1940 to 1945 and became the most massive in terms of the number of armored vehicles Wehrmacht (produced 8636 StuG III with 75-mm guns).
