American P-51D Mustang fighter is trying to land with a damaged tail stabilizer

The American North American P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft from the 45th Squadron of the US Air Force (USAF) is landing with a tail stabilizer damaged by Japanese anti-aircraft artillery.

Since April 1945, the North American P-51 Mustang fighters, taking off from the island of Iwo Jima, were able to cover the B-29 Superfortress bombers, which raided targets in Japan.
