    Those aren’t Marines. The Marine Corps, a branch of the U.S. Navy had no presence at Omaha Beach, nor Utah Beach on D-Day 6 June 1944. The assault troops on Omaha were the First and Twenty-Ninth Infantry Divisions of the United States Army.
