The American bomber Douglas A-20G bombs the forest near the village of Le Molay-Littry (Le Molay-Littry, commune in the Lower Normandy region).
According to available information, in this forest there were German ammunition depots. The bombardment hit the village: according to witnesses, 8 civilians died; 3 bombs fell to the cemetery.

The district was liberated on 10 June 1944 by the 2nd Infantry Division of the US Army.
