Abandoned by his crew the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank from the Red Army Armoured Forces stopped at the Oginski water channel. Old Slonim, Belarus. Operation Barbarossa, German Blitzkrieg in USSR, the Eastern Front, Second World War.

KV-1 heavy tank (Klim Voroshilov) is Soviet heavy tank of World War II. Usually referred to simply as «KV»: a tank was created under the same name, and only later, after the appearance of the tank KV-2 heavy tank KV of the first model in retrospect was a digital code. KV-1 was carried out from August 1939 to August 1942. The KV-1 heavy tanks participated in the war against Finland and in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union.
